…25-year-old suspect chargedTimothy Sampson,Jetro Willems Netherlands Jersey, 25,Bastian Schweinsteiger Jersey, of Adelphi,Arjen Robben Jersey, East Canje, Berbice, stood in the dock quite calmly while the charge of murder, attempted murder and robbery under arms were being read to him by Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo yesterday. The 25 year-old was not required to plead to the charges.The court was told that he forced his way into the house of Vasantie Ganesh and carted off an undisclosed sum of cash.Somehow, while the robbery was in progress,Paddy McNair Jersey, one Nand Persaud,Nick Powell Manchester United Jersey, was notified of the proceedings and ventured to offer assistance to the victims who happen to be his relatives.As he was nearing the house where the robbery was taking place, he came under fire.Sampson is accused of murdering security guard, Arjune Gobin, 47, on May 17, 2010 at number 68 Village,Danny Welbeck Jersey, Corentyne.Arjune, who was employed with Nand Persaud at the time decided to follow Sampson in a car, was also shot and subsequently died minutes later.Another charge read that on the said day he also shot businessman Nand Persaud of Nand Persaud and Sons Company Limited.Sampson was also charged with robbery under arms committed on Vasantie Ganish on the same night of May 17.The Guyana Police Force seemed to have been heading up hill in solving the case, when they made an arrest. They allegedly found two AK47 assault riffles, one Uzi and a 12 gauge shotgun in a black duffle bag on the accused.? It turned out that the weapons were amongst those that went missing from the Guyana Defence Force a few years back.Sampson will make his next court appearance on November 22, when the matter will be called at the Whim Magistrate’s court.
