The tour company’s staffers said that other persons had been coming to the location in search of the tour operator.DeSantos said he was given authorization by the English couple to rectify the matter. He has thus made a report at the Brickdam Police Station, where investigators requested that they be contacted if information on the alleged con artist surfaces.When Kaieteur News made contact with Katherine at Iwokrama’s office in September, she refrained from answering any questions asked about the tour arrangements and the operator. Even after explaining the crux of the matter, she said she would not give any information over the phone.After several unanswered calls, the tour operator got on to this newspaper to explain that he had been in Mahdia Region Eight and would be returning to town to deal with the matter.
