Two men were yesterday granted bail after they appeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing from Rusal Bauxite Company.Jermaine Bell and Trevor Clarke made their appearance before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson.It is alleged that on September 7, at Aroaima,Ryan Boatright College Jersey, in the Berbice River, they stole one Boring Bar Machine, valued at $2.5 M, property of Rusal Bauxite Company. He added that the stolen item was not found in his client’s possession.According to Amsterdam, the fact that his client was placed on station bail and turned up for his court hearing clearly shows that he is no flight risk. Clarke was represented by attorney Glenn Hanoman, who also sought bail for his client.The lawyer said that Clarke, like Bell, has a fixed place of abode at Kaneville, East Bank Demerara, is employed by the same company and was released on $100,000 station bail.According to Hanoman, the bail was posted by Clarke’s colleagues who were present in court to show solidarity.He added that his client poses no flight risk to the court since he was been reporting to the police on every occasion when he was told to.However, Police Prosecutor Sherwin Matthews objected and added that the two men were caught with the stolen item.He said that one of the accused was seen transporting the item in the company of the other accused.Bail was,Larry Murphy Adidas Jersey, however, fixed at $250,Authentic Dwyane Wade Bulls Jersey,000 each.The men are to return to court on October 30 and the matter has been transferred to the Kwakwani Magistrate’s Court.
