One of Linden’s newest businesses, the EVER PURE water treatment facility located on Burnham drive, Wismar has decided to give back to the community in a tangible way. The gift is a facelift for the Christianburg waterwheel.President of the Region Ten Tourism Association, Trudy Scott, yesterday told the media that she was very happy by the initiative taken by EVER PURE to give the waterwheel the facelift,Sam Mills Panthers Throwback Jersey, and also to fence the historic landmark.Scott said that the association had been looking out for such an initiative for a very long time,Gale Sayers Bears Jersey, and was therefore very enthused when EVER PURE approached them with their proposal.She added that it is the first time that a private entity has shown interest in the landmark in recent times, and actually plans to ensure the general maintenance of the area.Wilfred Simmons, a member of the association also expressed his appreciation to EVER PURE.He described the waterwheel as one of the oldest and most important landmarks in Linden, making it very important to the tourism sector in Region Ten.Simmons noted that wooden fencing had previously been placed around the waterwheel, but it never ‘survived’, thus the time has come for a more permanent structure to be erected around the perimeters.Cornelius Roberts, supervisor of EVER PURE pointed out that the company is happy to take on the project.
