The University of Guyana Berbice Campus once again intervened to help a needy student at the Campus. Ms. Onicka Chisholm,Curtis Joseph Red Wings Jersey, of Glasgow Housing Scheme,Cristopher Toselli Jersey, East Bank Berbice was unable to pay her tuition for this academic year.Professor Daizal Samad,Tony Dorsett Cowboys Throwback Jersey, Director of UGBC,Paul George USA Jersey, was informed of the student’s dire circumstances by Ms. Avis Wong of UGBC. He presented the case immediately to Magistrate Kamal Chandra Sohan and Mr. Soudesh Ramdehol of Clifton,Max Pacioretty Canadiens Jersey, New Jersey. Mr. Ramdehol came forward promptly with the money for this year’s tuition for Onicka Chisholm.From left, Prof Samad, Ms Wong, Ms Chisholm and Mr RamdehollAt a simple thank you ceremony, Professor Samad thanked Mr. Ramdehol for his kindness towards the UGBC student. We do not have to call a long meeting and weep and complain. We take prompt action. This matter was brought to our attention and the matter resolved within ninety minutes.”Ms. Chisholm was tearful. She promised to continue to focus on her academics and to join in the effort to improve the Campus and the community.Mr. Ramdehol said that he was happy to be of help to desiring UGBC students and pledged to do whatever he could to assist the Campus to continue the work that it is doing to serve the community of Berbice.
