Juan Carlos Valenzuela Jersey the Red House
Some of the most memorable school days are those spent on field trips to places of interest away from the home environment.School days are the best days: this aptly describes the look on these Mabaruma Primary school students’ face as they enjoyed a day at the zoo in Georgetown. With Guyana being 83,Rafael Marquez Mexico Jersey,000 square miles there is much see,Gil Brazil Jersey, experience and discover daily and while some are too busy to take in the site,Marc Bartra Jersey, it is a sight to behold watching youths as they experience life beyond the homestead. From March 15 to March 19,Luis Hernandez Jersey, some 39 Mabaruma Primary School students in the company of three teachers and five parents set out for five days of sight seeing along the Coastal plane.Their journey to other parts of Guyana proved an adventure at best as they travelled from regions one to six using both land and water transport.Teachers Minerva Vieira and Kurt Prichard said the trip was planned several months ago with financial support from fundraisers and with support from the Education Ministry to take the children aged 10 -11 years-old to have first hand experiences of visiting as many monuments, historical sites and organisations as possible on the coastal plane.“We were successful as they now have much more to write and talk about this country they call home”.They also spent some quality time playing as children should in the Guyana zoological park before beginning their journey back to Region One on Saturday at about 5:00 hrs. They camped out in the Guyana Teachers’ Union building also. Their trip included visiting Berbice, the Red House,Raphael Guerreiro Dortmund Shirts, the 1763 monument, the Damon monument, the Cenotaph,Ron Vlaar Netherland Jersey, the national museum and other places of interest.“We took them through Pomeroon, into the Essequibo River from Kumaka, North West District via boat then by bus to Supenaam. They then took another boat to Parika before reaching Georgetown, stopping at almost every site possible. The sponsors included businessmen, Charles Richards, Junior Walker, and Gary James as well as the Regional Educational and Executive Officers.
