Yesterday the Indian High Commission in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art held an art exhibition at Castellani House dubbed ‘KALPANA’ (imagination),Derrick Thomas Chiefs Throwback Jersey, featuring reproductions of Masterpieces of Indian Contemporary Figurative Art by 14 leading Indian painters,Baltimore Orioles Throwback Jersey, four of whom are women.The curator is one of the exhibition’s artists, Anjolie Ela Menon.One of the images on display The paintings are brilliant in colour and hold their own interpretation through the vibrant background of the inspiration of the painter.According to the Curator of the National Gallery, Ms. Elfrieda Bissember,Andre Drummond Pistons Jersey, the paintings are rich in cultural traditions of India which has an underlying theme of worship of the divine.She added that the inspiration of the surroundings of an artist should help them develop their own style in painting and art form.According to the Director of the Indian Cultural Centre,Paul Pogba Jersey, Mrs. Malti Sahai,Authentic Jeremy Lin Nets Jersey, the pieces displayed figurative art which has been a part of the aesthetic sensibility of India and has seen a steady rise in recent years.She said the works of the artists represented are sold in art galleries around the world at phenomenal prices; one such example is an artist (M F Husain) who sold his painting at a value of US$1M and also sold a series of twelve paintings for US$10M.Mrs. Sahai explained that the artwork is a confluence of tradition and modernity and stands apart for their distinct and unique visual significance, since the artists come from various backgrounds and have been trained in different schools with each having their own vision.She noted that the paintings were digital reproductions from cameras,Kenyan Drake Dolphins Jersey, which has been approved by the artist themselves, and has not only made it simpler and cost effective, but would make Indian Art more accessible.
