There was some anxiety in the Berbice High Court before the start of the murder trial of popular NewMurder Accused Charles BristolAmsterdam businessman and remigrant,Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys, Charles Henry, called “Charles Bristol” or “Charlie”.Bristol,China NFL Jerseys, 53, of Main Street and Lad Lane,Air Max Scontate Uomo, New Amsterdam, is accused of killing Errol Lindo, 51, on Wednesday April 16,Stitched Canada NBA Jerseys, 2014 at High Dam,Cheap Adidas NHL Jerseys, Caracas,Baker Mayfield Jersey, West Canje, Berbice.The matter is being heard in the Berbice High Court by Justice Franklyn Holder and a mixed jury.The matter was set to continue at 13:00 hrs yesterday. However when the matter was called the Prosecution’s main witness, Travis Crandon, who was on the witness stand when the matter was adjourned the previous day, was nowhere around.Crandon turned up some time after and it was subsequently learnt that he was arrested and locked up by the police overnight on a matter of domestic violence.Under further cross examination by attorney at law Nigel Hughes, Crandon told the court that after Lindo was shot he fell into a hole. He then admitted that he never made that statement before. He stated that when Lindo arrived, Bristol was under a guava tree. However in the Magistrate’s court, he said that Bristol was under the house.He told the court that he helped to mop up the blood from Lindo’s body, but he could not remember if he had mentioned that before. He told the court that as he assisted Lindo, the mortally wounded man told his sister that he was feeling cold. Prodded by Hughes, the man stated that he could not remember if he had mentioned that before.Hughes then put it to Crandon that he was never at the scene; that he came long after with his wife and a police officer and only heard what people were saying. That is why he could give one story and continue to change his story all the time.?? Crandon however insisted that he was there and that his wife met him on the dam.Under re-examination by Prosecutor, attorney at law Natasha Backer, as to why he gave different statements to the police, in the magistrate’s court and in the High Court, the man stated that on a number of occasions he could not remember whatDead: Errol Lindohe said before.He admitted that he told the magistrate court that there was bad blood between himself and Henry. On another occasion he said that he was confused.? On the issue of telling the High Court that four shots were fired and telling the magistrate’s court that three shots were fired, he stated again that he was confused.Earlier, Police Corporal Phillip Walters gave his evidence and detailed the part he played in the investigation. On the day in question he and a party of policemen went to the scene.? A large crowd, numbering between 250 and 300 persons, had gathered. The crowd was very hostile. The police had to secure the location.Henry was arrested and taken into custody. His firearm a Taurus .32 pistol and with two magazines and 24 rounds were seized. The firearm and rounds were taken for examination and lodged in court as exhibits.Under cross examination, Corporal Walters stated that the crowd was very hostile. Henry’s motor vehicle which was on the dam was upturned and set on fire. Missiles were being thrown and the police had to fire shots in the air to restrain the crowd. He agreed with Hughes that the scene was chaotic.The murder trial began on Tuesday and so far the prosecution has called eight witnesses.Henry is being represented by attorneys at law Nigel Hughes and Kim Kyte,Marlon Humphrey Jersey, in association with Tamya Warren Clements and Shabana Barnwell.The state has so far called Rookmin Dindyal, Indranie Nandalall called “Meena” at whose place Henry sought refuge, Agnes Joseph, Cassandra Arthur and Police Corporals Curtis Cort and Brian Caesar.The trial continues today.
