When the carnal knowledge trial of Steven Alert, who is accused of having sex with a girl under 15 years-of-age, continued in the Berbice High Court before Justice James Bovell-Drakes and a mix jury, the court was told that the police cannot find some critical police records.This was revealed by Detective Corporal, Rosanne Frank,Chris Paul USA Jersey, on Tuesday who was earlier ordered by the Judge to furnish the station diary, charge sheet, Occurrence and the crime books related to the investigation of Alert.Frank was earlier order by the judge to furnish the records after the witness and the accused had disagreed on certain dates and information during her evidence. The Judge made the order after the accused denied that he had given the caution statement to the investigator on March 3, 2009 but rather this was done on the previous day, March 2nd, 2009.Alert who is representing himself had also disagreed with certain information given by the witness. The accused suggested that what was written in the statement was not exactly what he had given, as there were additional words. His was denied by the Witness saying that what she wrote was told to her.Corporal Frank told the court that she visited the Number 51 Police Station on Saturday and checks were made for the relevant books and material requested by the court for the period 2009, but the records could not be located,Krystian Bielik Arsenal Jersey UK, although searches were made in the storeroom and Enquiries Office.Sergeant Vilma Saul, in her evidence, has also denied that the accused ask to be taken to see the doctor.
