– lawyers want matters to be tried in GeorgetownThe three persons accused of murdering Romeo and Clint De Agrella made yet another court appearance yesterday before Magistrate Priya Beharry,Paul Pogba Manchester Jersey, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.The men,Rasul Douglas Womens Jersey, Lloyd Roberts 27,Jason Denayer Manchester City Jersey, Tyrone Da Silva 27 and Jerome Parkes 24, are accused of killing the De Agrellas between March 20 and March 23 at Iron Punt, North West District.Tyrone Da Silva Attorney-at-Law Glenn Hanoman, who is one of the lawyers representing the trio, informed the court that an application has been made for the matters to be tried in Georgetown instead of at Mabaruma,Dede Westbrook Jaguars Jersey, in the North West District.He explained that since all the investigations were conducted in Georgetown,Aleksandar Kolarov Jersey, it would pose an inconvenience for the investigating ranks to travel to the North West District when the trial begins.He also asked that an early date be set.Attorney at Law Vic Puran, who is also representing the trio, told the court that the application is presently with the Director of Public Prosecutions. He further told the court that the DPP had indicated that a decision could be made today.Magistrate Beharry ordered that the trio be further remanded and that they make their next court appearance today.The magistrate also stated that if the application is not ready she would be forced to fix a date when the Mabaruma Court sits.The decomposing remains of the De Agrellas, of Grant Strong, Hope, Lower Pomeroon River, were found days after they failed to return home. The police had also stated that investigations revealed that the victims had left Venezuela and after not returning as expected. The two men were reported as missing on March 22.? It was further revealed that their bodies were found with gunshot wounds while their boat bore bullet holes. It was recovered without its outboard motor engine. The boat was found overturned in the Waini River by the occupants of a passing passenger vessel, and was subsequently pulled ashore.Meanwhile the police are still trying to locate former policeman Sean Belfield called “Back-up”,Solomon Thomas Womens Jersey, whom they say is linked to the double-murder.
