Pre-Service Training for the 23rd Group of VolunteersOn March 15,John Obi Mikel Jersey, 2011,Hector Herrera Jersey, another 37 Peace Corps recruits will arrive in Guyana to commence training in the project areas of Community Health Education and Community Education Promotion.The group is expected to be officially sworn in as Peace Corps Volunteers on April 13, and will join their 59 colleagues already in service. Kennedy created the Peace Corps in March 1961 to provide human resource and technical assistance to developing countries that request this kind of support.
