Just when it seemed that all the victims of last Saturday’s four vehicle smash-up at Bachelor’s Adventure on the East Coast of Demerara were out of danger, one of them succumbed at the Georgetown Hospital yesterday.Parmanand Dass, 47, of Good Hope,Cheap NHL Adidas Jerseys, East Coast Demerara, whose vehicle was slammed head-on by an out of control truck was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon, four days after being hospitalized.His wife Bibi remains a patient of the institution nursing broken legs.The husband and wife were returning home on Saturday after conducting business when their minibus collided with a truck which had slammed another bus from behind.They along with eight other persons who were passengers of the other minibus were rushed to the Georgetown Hospital in an ambulance.Apart from Dass and his wife, those injured were Mignon James, 71,Jerseys China Wholesale, of Nabaclis; Chrisana Thompson, 18, of Two Friends Village; Denise Fraser, 31, of Bachelor’s Adventure; Eden Innis,Cheap Jerseys China, 6,Wholesale Jerseys China, and his sister Ena, 8,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, also of Bachelor’s Adventure; Murna Bacchus,Cheap Authentic Jerseys, 63, and Paulette Woolford, 44, both of Golden Grove and 26-year-old Annanso Nedd.According to eyewitnesses, the bus was proceeding in an easterly direction and had slowed down to put off a passenger when the truck slammed into it, toppling it on its side.The truck then slammed into the bus driven by Parmanand Dass before crashing into a car which was parked outside a church.Sources at the hospital told this newspaper that Dass was transferred from the High Dependency Unit to the Male Surgical Ward earlier this week.
