Only one bid price was provided, as the others indicated their percentage per project or percentage of total construction cost.In addition, there was just one bid opened for a project under the Ministry of Communities, which was aimed at rehabilitation work to potable water wells at Cotton Tree,Brendan Langley Jersey, Berbice, Region No. 6. The engineer’s estimate for this project was $24.2M.Also under the Ministry of Communities, Guyana Water Incorporated (GWI), there were bids for the supply and delivery of water meter boxes, which GWI monitors for water usage records. The engineer’s estimate was $54M.
