On the day of the incident they both approached a potential passenger heading to Berbice. An argument ensued as to whom the passenger was travelling with. It was alleged that Benjamin pushed Alfred and threatened to kill him. Reportedly persons intervened where a return action from Alfred was denied. He subsequently promised Benjamin that he take his life.The men both sought to give their side in the matter, each speaking in their favour. The men were subsequently placed on a bond to keep the peace. The drivers evaded being fined for the offence of their disorderly behaviour or face some detention time for their actions. The men simply got off with a warning and a bond to maintain the peace.
