A serving member of the Guyana Police Force (GFC) yesterday appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court to answer two charges of forgery.Corporal Andrew Griffith,Graham Zusi Jersey, who is attached to the Supreme Court as a prosecutor, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine- Beharry to answer the charge that stated he at Ogle International Airport presented documents that proved to be false. The man allegedly uttered forged official documents.The 39-year-old policeman was said to have on November 9,Tyler Seguin Jersey, while trying to depart the country to neighbouring Suriname,Arizona Diamondbacks Jorge De La Rosa Jersey, produced fake documents stating his termination of service from the Guyana Police Force.On the day in question Griffith appeared at the departing port and presented the document proposing to be signed by the Commissioner of Police to the processing rank on duty. The immigration officer became suspicious of the document.The processing rank then contacted his superior who further made checks. The immigration rank contacted higher authorities who confirmed that the man’s service period had not been terminated and that he was still a serving member of the GPF. He was subsequently detained and charged for the offense.Griffith was represented by Defence Attorney,NFL Jerseys Wholesale, Patrice Henry,Joc Pederson Jersey, who in a bail application told the court that his client had an unblemished record.The prosecution did not seek to deny the law man pre-trial liberty only that conditions be imposed. The man’s lawyer interjected telling the court that his client had already lodged his passport at the police station and that he would make himself available to the court.The court ordered him to report to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) twice every month pending the conclusion of the matter. Griffith will appear at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court today.
