A four?member?Draughts team lead by their captain Mr. Jiaram?travelled to Nickerie Suriname last Friday (3rd July2015) to compete in a two day?Goodwill game in that country. The Tournament was organized by President of the Guyana Draughts Association Mr. Jiaram and Organiser of District Nickerie Mr Naresh Ragho.In the opening game on the same evening of the team’s arrival played at the Kweesischool in Imego Nickerie,Wholesale Jerseys, Guyana?defeated Nickerie 4-0. Steve Bacchus who played Nickerie’s champion P. Mahabier was the first player to win his match against this strong opponent. Mark Brathwaite made good of R. Harkisoen, while?Khemraj Pooranmall?defeated?S. Oemrowsing. Oemrowsing had the leading edge over Pooranmall with one piece to his advantage but the clever Pooranmall regained the piece and did not look back. Jiaram seeing his team ahead took no chances to spoil the board. He applied experience and tactics to defeat P. Harkisoen.Jiaram of Guyana and P.
