The Chairperson opined that public buildings should be utilised and persons should volunteer their services to this cause.One of the Commissioners, Nicole Cole, was a victim of domestic violence. Cole noted that she utilised the 1996 Domestic Violence Legislation to fight her case but was unsuccessful. Therefore the relevance of that legislation was questioned. Discussions were also held with officials from the Ministry of Education to ascertain what they are doing in relation to the Health and Family Life Education Programme.
