The man told the court that a police officer had released him from the prison cell to have a drink of water. He said when he turned around looking for the policeman, he was nowhere to be found.He also said that someone told him that he should go home and clean up himself since the police were violating his rights by keeping him beyond the stipulated 72-hour detention period.
