BELVEDERE VILLAGE,NFL Jerseys Outlet, CORENTYNE – Work on the industrial site at Belvedere Village on the Corentyne is almost complete. This is according to Region Six Chairman,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, Zulfikar Mustapha.The Regional Chairman said that the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Commerce is now evaluating application forms with a view of awarding plots. Recently, the Chairman along with the Region Six Vice-Chairman, Dennis Deroop,Cheap Jerseys From China Online, Region Six Community Development Officer, Faizal Jaffarally, representatives of the Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce and Kilcoy/Hampshire Neighbourhood Democratic Council inspected the site.The Chairman indicated that the applicants are interested in establishing molding, furniture, pharmaceutical, engineering, food processing, garment manufacturing, chemical and electronic concerns on the site.In 2007, the Ministry of Tourism,Wholesale NFL Jerseys, Industry and Commerce expended some $35M on basic preparation work which included land filling, construction of the drainage system,NFL Jerseys Outlet, empoldering of the site and other infrastructure. These were completed in 2008.The Belvedere Industrial site is 1,200 acres. Each of the 16 plots will consist of 14,000 square feet.The lease for the land is in the custody of the Kilcoy/Hampshire Neighbourhood Democratic Council.According to Mustapha, 20 applications have been submitted. Forms can be uplifted from the Region Six Democratic Council’s Office in New Amsterdam.When the industrial site becomes operational, approximately 500 job opportunities could be created.The Regional Chairman is confident that the move by Government to establish an industrial site would be a fortunate thing for the entire Ancient County.“It would enhance our emerging industries that are coming up. It is not for big industries like rice mills and so but for other small factories.”The Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce had also joined forces with Government to assist in the development of the industrial site.President of the Chamber, Poonai Bhigroog, acknowledged that this project can open doors to development in Region Six and also expand the horizons of small and medium business concerns. He noted that with all things being equal, the unemployment rate could be reduced.
