Guyana will on August 28 host a meeting of South American presidents,Tony Esposito Jersey, the government announced this week.Guyana will host the meeting in keeping with obligations being the chair of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).According to Head of the Presidential Secretariat, Dr Roger Luncheon,Kelechi Iheanacho Manchester City Jersey UK, a two-day meeting of foreign affairs ministers and officials of UNASUR will precede the meeting of Heads of Government.Dr Luncheon said that a decision is yet to be made on what Council meetings this country will be asked to chair as part of the high level meetings in Georgetown.Prime Minister Samuel Hinds is heading a special committee to co-ordinate the planning of the summit where President Bharrat Jagdeo will take over the presidency of the South American bloc from his Ecuadorian counterpart Rafael Correa.At the Third South American Summit on December 8,Ronnie Lott USC Jersey, 2004, presidents or representatives from 12 South American nations signed the Cusco Declaration, a two-page statement of intent announcing the foundation of the South American Community.
